About
Salt Lake City's brand-new airport, completed in 2020, replaced the aging terminals with a modern single-terminal design. Delta Air Lines is the dominant carrier, operating SLC as a western US hub.
The new terminal's efficient layout means shorter walks from gates to baggage claim compared to the old airport. Two concourses (A and B) serve all airlines.
SLC is just 7 miles from downtown Salt Lake City, making it one of the most accessible airports in the country. The TRAX light rail connects the airport to downtown in about 25 minutes.
Pickup tip
The new terminal opened in 2020 with a streamlined layout. Cell phone lot is clearly marked on the approach. Pickup is on the ground level.
