Terminal 2 opened in 2018 and serves Korean Air, Delta, and other SkyTeam alliance members. Terminal 1 handles everyone else, including Asiana and Star Alliance carriers. A shuttle train connects the two terminals in about 15 minutes. Make sure you know which terminal before heading to the airport for a pickup.
Transit passengers can leave the airport for a free guided tour of nearby areas if they have a layover of 6+ hours. Visa-free transit is available for many nationalities, making Incheon a popular connection point for flights between Europe and Asia or Oceania.
The AREX (Airport Railroad Express) runs from Incheon to Seoul Station in 43 minutes on the express service, or about 56 minutes on the all-stop train. Trains run every 30-40 minutes. Airport buses cover destinations across the Seoul metropolitan area and are often more convenient for hotels outside the city centre.
UK to Seoul is 11 hours direct. Flights depart morning UK time and land early morning the next day, Korea time. South Korea is 9 hours ahead of the UK (8 during British Summer Time).
