About

Arriving at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport

Detroit Metro is Delta Air Lines' Midwest hub, with extensive domestic service and international flights to Europe and Asia. The airport has two completely separate terminals that are not walkable between.

The McNamara Terminal is one of the longest airport terminals in the world and serves Delta exclusively. The North Terminal handles all other carriers. Getting to the wrong terminal means driving around the airport, adding 10-15 minutes.

The airport is in Romulus, about 22 miles southwest of downtown Detroit via I-94.

Pickup tip

Delta uses McNamara Terminal; most other airlines use North Terminal. These are separate buildings — confirm which one before driving.
